Video | Stepfather raped and killed teenager found in La Zurza

IN SANTO DOMINGO, Friday, Oct. 23, 2020: The National Police reported that it will bring to justice Delion Santana Matos who confessed to having raped and murdered the young Perla Taveras, 17, last Sunday .

Taveras was seen for the last time last Sunday in the La Zurza sector where she resided and four days later she was found dead and in a state of decomposition in some bushes on the banks of the Isabela River, National District.

According to reports from residents of the La Zurza neighborhood, Perla was sharing with some of her friends late on Sunday night when her stepfather, who they point to as responsible for the incident, came to look for her on a motorcycle.

Acquaintances of the minor assure that she did not reside with her mother, but a few blocks with her grandmother.

It is expected that in the next few hours the body of the 17-year-old girl will be handed over to the relatives for her burial. (Caribbean)
