For us from the academic point of view it is important, and for the environmental impact assessment course this project serves as an example of how a project should be done from the point of view of environmental impact and the importance it has for health public and environmental, mainly in Santo Domingo ”, said the Costa Rican engineer Igor Zúñiga, professor of the aforementioned master's degree.
Likewise, the student Sagrario Matos indicated: “This has far exceeded the expectations that we had in relation to the project. In addition to being innovative, it is very promising, the high technology that they have explained to us here that it entails, as well as the impact that the Dominican Republic, in a general sense, can receive through this first step. Hopefully, this can continue to be replicated in other projects of this nature and we can serve as multipliers ”.
Engineer Julio César Fanith, also a participant in the aforementioned higher education course, pointed out: “We could say that the word that defines it is majestic.
We are seeing that in a short time, let's say, the words impact and results are summarized here. We see how an investment and a hard-working team of men led by the President of the Republic and the director of the CAASD are resulting in a project that is impacting 450,000 inhabitants and the most populous sectors of this area ”.
“I believe that all the knowledge, technology and everything that is being developed here can serve as a basis for replicating them in other types of projects and in institutions for those lessons learned to improve processes of other kinds. We have already been studying for a master's degree for a year, we are practically halfway through the course ”, added Sergio Mieses Polanco.
Some of the students of the master's degree in Public Investment Management who visited the work and received the educational talk about its operation serve the population from State institutions, and with this visit the CAASD sought to contribute to their awareness of the importance that the plant will have in the social welfare, so that they are multipliers of this knowledge from their dependencies and functions, in a general sense.
