Police arrest four alleged micro-traffickers in La Zurza
SANTO DOMINGO.- A police patrol arrested three alleged micro-traffickers who were seized with a firearm and 44.9 grams of a vegetable that is presumed to be marijuana in the La Zurza sector, National District.
They are Richard Acosta Vásquez (El Huevero), Víctor Manuel Quezada (Vitico), Josue Adan Cruz (Brito) and Henry Mercedes Peña, with addresses in La Zurza and Boca Chica.
The preliminary report indicates that the four men were arrested when they were surprised in the aforementioned sector by a police patrol that followed them up on complaints from citizens.
In possession of Acosta Vásquez (El Huevero) the Sccy pistol, number 088389, with its magazine and seven capsules for it, was seized. He also seized the 44.9-gram amount of the alleged marijuana, a scale, several cell phones, and a black and white mask.
Those now prevented will be sent to the Public Ministry through the corresponding channels, for subsequent submission to justice, where they will be known as a measure of coercion.
The National Police reiterated, via a press release, that it will intensify actions to counter crime and drug trafficking.
