National Police hold community meeting in La Zurza
Major General Ney Aldrin Bautista Almonte, director of our National Police, today held a meeting with the community of the La Zurza sector of the National District, where he pledged with community leaders to work together to guarantee security in the sector.
The act that took place in the San Juan Bautista church was a discussion with different community leaders in order to listen to the concerns they have regarding the work of the National Police in their community.
Bautista Almonte, responded to each of the proposals made by different representatives of the neighborhood councils, the Catholic Church, representatives of the sellers of the New Market and citizens who agreed that the police presence is important in the area, because the agents guarantee the peace and quiet of the sector.
For this reason, the police commander guaranteed the resolution of some of these social situations and promised to do everything necessary to guarantee the safety of the residents of La Zurza.
In that order, the police director ordered to initiate a closer approach with the communities that comprise the surroundings of the New Market in that sector.
The event was attended by the directors of the Community Police, Colonel Jacobo Mateo Moquete and the director of the National District Ernesto R. Rodríguez García, along with the officers and enlisted men in charge of safeguarding that demarcation.
Among the main problems that Major General Bautista Almonte guaranteed to implement immediately, are plans to enforce the law, confront the sale of drugs and the noise pollution that occurs mainly in entertainment businesses.
As well as he also exhorted the different community leaders to meet periodically with a police commission to monitor the progress of the different plans that will be implemented, as a result of this Dialogue with the Community.
