La Zurza Pro-development Committee demands relocation of 107 families

Of the group of families registered, a total of 188, about 81 received apartments from the National Housing Institute (INVI), while about 50 were relocated in temporary houses on the river bank and about 57 wander in houses of relatives with a letter as a guarantee for a decent home.

Víctor Portorreal Portalatín, spokesman for those affected, explained that these people have had to go through many vicissitudes since that time.

«These people live in subhuman conditions. They have nowhere to do their physiological needs, which unfortunately they are going to discharge into the Isabela River, ”said Portorreal Portalatín.
